Kids' City remains commited to ensuring that its staff have effective, timely and appropriate training, so that we can together ensure that the children using our schemes have a safe, positive, happy and well managed experience during their time with us.

Put simply, we aim to meet the following training needs:

Staff Timescale Training Completed
Cente Managers and Deputy Centre Managers On appointment Food hygiene, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Children, First Aid - Paediatrics, Level 3 Diploma in Playwork or the appropriate equivalent
All Staff Within 1 week of joining Induction to Kids' City systems & procedures and the Introduction to Playwork course
All Staff Within 6 months of joining Food hygiene, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Children, First Aid - Paediatrics
Optional: Community Sports Leader award and other Playwork related courses
All Staff Within 2 years of joining Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Playwork or appropriate equivalent.
