Safeguarding Children: Certificated one day course £65

This training session looks at the different types of child abuse whilst giving practical advice how as to what to look out for and what to do if you suspect that a child is being abused.  It also looks at ways in which we can help children keep themselves safe from danger.

Health and Safety: Certificated one day course £65

This training session provides the necessary Health and Safety skills and knowledge that a manager/playworker/early years worker will need to work in a childcare environment.  There are two competency assessments that will be taken during this training.  This training is fully interactive.

Food Hygiene: Certificated one day course £65

This training provides the necessary Food Hygiene skills and knowledge that a manager/playworker and early years worker will need in a childcare environment.  There is a competency assessment taken during the training.  This training is fully interactive.

Delivering High Quality Activities: Certificated one day course £65

A fundemental part of working with children is engaging them in educational and recreational activities.  This course gives an excellent overview of how to deliver successful play-based learning activities.

Preparing for Ofsted: Certificated one day course £65

Giving the best impression of your services for children can be difficult to achieve when arrival of an Ofsted inspector can cause great anxiety and insecurity. This one-day workshop sets out a sensible strategy for managing your Ofsted inspection to highlight the good work you are doing and positively influencing the outcomes.

Developing Playwork Practice and Teamwork: Certificated one day course £65

Teamwork is a valuable part of working with children. This course enables anyone working with children to look at problems that occur when working in a team and the positive solutions that can be put in place. It also enables playworkers to look at their own practice and how this can effect the team as a whole.

EYFS In Playwork: Certificated one day course £65

The course is aimed mainly for the Playwork Managers and Deputies. We look together at how centres can improve their ability to deal with EYFS standards in a playwork setting and also gain further understanding of Ofsted standards and what you need to obtain an "Outstandin" result.
The course is delivered by an experienced and qualified Playwork and Early Years practitioner and will enable you to see working examples, scenarios aiming to improve your ability, knowledge, confidence and attitude towards the EYFS in a positive way.

Positive Behaviour Management: Certificated one day course £65

This training session provides a range of practical ideas to support and promote positive behaviour in children. Together we look at where, when, how, why and what challenging behaviour is presented and consider constructive ways to manage it ans reduce the likelihood or repetition.

Disability Awareness and Inclusion: Certificated one day course £65

All children have a right to be able to play and do interesting things with their free time. The workshop introduces ideas and techniques for enabling all children in the child-centred setting, whatever abilities, and encourages a "can do" attitude to meeting children's special needs.
