Safeguarding Children: Certificated one day course £40

This training session looks at the different types of child abuse whilst giving practical advice how as to what to look out for and what to do if you suspect that a child is being abused.  It also looks at ways in which we can help children keep themselves safe from danger.

Health and Safety: Certificated one day course £40

This training session provides the necessary Health and Safety skills and knowledge that a manager/playworker/early years worker will need to work in a childcare environment.  There are two competency assessments that will be taken during this training.  This training is fully interactive.

Food Hygiene: Certificated one day course £40

This training provides the necessary Food Hygiene skills and knowledge that a manager/playworker and early years worker will need in a childcare environment.  There is a competency assessment taken during the training.  This training is fully interactive.

Delivering High Quality Activities: Certificated one day course £40

A fundemental part of working with children is engaging them in educational and recreational activities.  This course gives an excellent overview of how to deliver successful play-based learning activities.

Playwork Management: Certificated two day course £80

A two-day course that gives new, prospective and experienced managers a solid foundation in the latest techniques and thinking they need to be effective in their roles. It covers the special management issues of working with children that are not covered in the formal qualification.

OFSTED Workplace Standards: Certificated one day course £40

Giving the best impression of your services for children can be difficult to achieve when arrival of an Ofsted inspector can cause great anxiety and insecurity. This one-day workshop sets out a sensible strategy for managing your Ofsted inspection to highlight the good work you are doing and positively influencing the outcomes.

Managing & Supervising Playwork Staff: Certificated one day course £40

What motivates people to work in a child-centred setting? How do workers know what is expected of them? This one-day workshop gives and understanding of psychological contracts, what makes people "tick" and looks at the benefits of rewards and supervision. For everyone with staff or volunteer management responsibilities.
