Course Description

This course is for people who are working with children and young people between the ages of 4 to 16 in settings such as after-school clubs, breakfast clubs, holiday playschemes, adventure playgrounds and schools.

This course provides a range of practical ideas to support and promote positive behaviour in children. Together we look at when, where, how and why challenging behaviour is presented and consider constructive ways to manage it and reduce the likelihood or repetition. The course enables learners to get involved in small group work, practical tasks, case studies and interactive games to ensure they have the relevent skills needed to put the knowledge gained into a real work situation.
