Course Description
This course is for people who are working with children and young people between the ages of 4 to 16 in settings such as after school clubs, breakfast clubs, holiday playschemes, adventure playgrounds and schools.
This course looks at different types of child abuse whilst giving practical advice on what to look out for and what to do if you suspect that a child is being abused. It also looks at ways in which we can help children build self-confidence and protect themselves from danger.The course enables learners to get involved in small group work, practical tasks and case studies which will be followed with a short test at the end of the session to check understanding.
