anti-bullying week

Bullying is something that Kids' City takes very seriously. We think that it is vital to create safe and happy environments for children to play and be themselves. That's why we supported Anti-Bullying week this year: to raise awareness with the children about the effects of bullying through fun activities and games. At Kids' City we aim to create a climate where children understand that bullying is unacceptable and to ensure that they have the knowledge to know how address bullying too.

During the week, the after school clubs organised creative activities that centered around awareness of bullying: the ways in which teachers and pupils can spot bullying (both in and outside the classroom), and know what to do if they witness or experience bullying. The children at Kings Avenue for example, wrote and performed a play about the consequences of bullying. Simiarly, Jubilee performed a rap that suggests alternatives.
