Where Kids' City Works

We have schemes based in Lambeth and Wandsworth. The Index of Deprivation 2000 shows areas in which Kids' City operates include wards ranked amongst the 10% most deprived in the country. We provide educational and recreational opportunities for all young children, so that they may mature into confident members of society.

Who Works For Kids' City

We employ approximately 80 staff, 8 full time and the remainder part time and utilise over 100 volunteers. All our staff have current police checks, and centre staff are all trained and qualified in play work. All staff and volunteers have access to the fully accredited training programmes.

How Is Kids' City Financed

Keeping the price affordable to families, providing subsidised places and free places for those who need them, we charge fees for attendance, but these only make up less than half the cost of running each scheme. The rest of the funds we need to keep our organisation running come from local authority grants, and a constant fundraising effort to gain support from charitable trusts and the like.
